Application of Intimate Relationships Guide
Project Definition
This project seeks to increase awareness among young people of both sexes about intimate relationships and reproductive health in order to reduce the problems that occur after marriage as a result of lack of awareness.
Reasons for adopting this project
1- Increase of divorce cases between newlyweds.
2- Lack of awareness of the concept of intimate relationships and the concept of reproductive health.
3- The need of young people of both sexes to get the information they need.
Project duration
12 months starting January 2011 to December 2011.
The overall goal of the project
Enable young people of both sexes who are willing to marry to getting enough awareness about intimate relationships of spouses.
Project's specific goals
1- Practical application of the intimate relations guide from a social perspective (issued by the EFFD and funded by Kavina 2010).
2– Rehabilitation of (80) youth of both sex who are willing to marry of the concept of intimate relationships.
3- Working with decision-makers from the Ministry of Health and Education to integrate the concept of intimate relationship in scholar curriculum and adopt a policy of couples awareness by the Ministry of Health.
4- to encourage NGOs to integrate awareness of the concept of intimate relationships on the verge of marry Ali agendas.
5- Reducing divorce rate among young people by reducing rate of marital disputes resulting from lack of awareness of intimate relations.
6- Strengthen the desire among couples to conduct a medical examination in order to avoid future problems.
Target group
The Project targets youth of both sex who are willing to marry, NGOs , natural calibers ( in the place of work of the EFFD) and decisions maker from the ministry of health and the ministry of education.
Expected results
1- 80 youth of both sex who are willing to marry get sound concepts of intimate relationships.
2- Increase desire of those who are willing to marry to conduct pre-marital medical examination.
3- Create a state of confidence among youth of both sex that they will establish a stable life as a result of getting awareness about intimate relationship culture.
4- Motivate decision makers to have on their agenda the integration of intimate relationship culture in scholar curricula and the necessity that the State bears the costs of pre-marital medical examination.
5- Motive the NGOs in the region to put on their agenda the preparation of couples who are about to get married of intimate relationship.
